More Than 60 Years Young

Parkway Community Church, established in 1951, is located on Stewart Avenue in Hicksville, just east of the Wantagh State Parkway that stretches from central Nassau County to world-famous Jones Beach.

Our members come from Hicksville, Westbury, Levittown, East Meadow, and other neighboring communities.

The Rev. Douglas R. MacDonald, our founding pastor, led Parkway for almost 50 years. The Rev. Harold Lay – “Pastor Hank” – served Parkway from May 2003 until his retirement in December 2016.

In 2013, Levittown Community Church merged with Parkway Community Church, creating a new congregation with a familiar name. If you're looking for a church home, please consider us.

A Community of Christians

We're glad that you have come to visit and learn about Parkway Community Church.

As a community of Christians and member of the Reformed Church in America, we understand God through the life and teachings of Jesus Christ. We seek to understand Him better and shape our life after His. For us, this means a desire to love God and our neighbor, to share with people in need, and to work for the betterment of humanity.

Our church is open to all people. We seek to embody God’s love by our own words and actions toward others.

We find the basic expression of our religious faith in the Bible. By joining with others to grow in our understanding of God, we seek to discern God’s desire for humanity at this time in history. We are committed to working with all people of good faith to form a society of faith in God, with justice and compassion.

We invite you to seek your place among us. You bring to us your unique personality and experiences. We offer you our love and support, a community to call your own home, and a challenge to make a difference in our world.

Join us for Sunday worship at 10 a.m. We celebrate the Sacrament of Holy Communion the first Sunday each month. All believers are invited to receive.

May God bless you and make you a blessing to others.
